General Inquiry Last Updated: January 22, 2008 Form DS-6000 for Guidance in Preparing the Submission of a “General Inquiry” DDTC plans to receive and adjudicate General Inquiries electronically via the D-Trade system. A form, DS-6000, has been designed for this purpose and is being developed for D-Trade use. In the interim, DDTC offers this form and instructions as guidance for the preparation of such requests. This form is not meant for hardcopy use. Please do not fill out the form and send it to DDTC for review (it will be Returned Without Action). Once the DS-6000 is fully developed for the D-Trade system, its use will be mandatory. Adherence to the guidelines as captured in this form and accompanying instructions even at this time, however, can help ensure that your General Inquiry has all the information that is necessary and sufficient for timely, accurate U.S. Government review. A further announcement will be made when Form DS-6000 is integrated into D-Trade and its use becomes mandatory. If you have submitted a General Inquiry, you may check on its status. (To use this function, you must first sign up here.) |
